About Witchford Colts F.C.

As the club crest would suggest, Witchford Colts football club was formed in 2002.

We started off with just one under 8s team and now have sixteen sides, plus an Academy. We have children aged four all the way through to sixteen. Over 250 children are registered with the club. This is a fantastic achievement for a village football team.

Over the years Witchford Colts have provided very competitive sides playing in numerous Cambridgeshire Leagues. A number of Witchford Colts sides have won various league titles and cup finals. We have also seen some of the children obtain opportunities on the Professional Academy football club scheme, and long may that continue.

The club is run by volunteer coaches who give up their time to develop the children’s footballing abilities and social skills, in a safe environment.

Witchford Colts currently runs over 15 teams, ages ranging from aged 4 up to under 16s

In addition to the coaches there are many volunteers that deal with all of the administrative work, financial matters and running of the match day tuck shops etc.

We are also very grateful for all of the sponsorship that we receive from local businesses. Without all of these people the children would not get this opportunity so a massive thank you to all those involved.

In 2017 the club won the ‘Community Grassroots Club of the Year’ award. This was largely down to the charity work that the club has been involved in, both locally and nationally.
